When cleaning a room, checking the kitchen utensils takes up a lot of time.
There are many fixtures in a private lodging facility, but the kitchen is particularly full.
There are many home appliances that need to be checked for operation,
but checking the cooking utensils, dishes, and cutlery is a lot of work.
Many guests who don’t usually cook try it while staying at a villa.
However, cooking is not something they are used to, and they often break their cooking utensils.
For example, they leave the stove on and the food burns, leaving a 10cm thick layer of burnt food on the pot.
They put utensils on the stove when they shouldn’t, and they become mushy.
They put hot utensils directly on the table and they burn.
These kinds of things happen more than once or twice a year in a single facility.
In this photo, the pot is mysteriously bent.
Whenever any equipment breaks, we take a careful photo so we can report it to the owner.
The thing that tends to go missing the most are glasses.
Many guests drink alcohol and have a good time at villas, and get carried away, so
glasses break with great force.
Many glasses are simply thrown away in the trash, so we make sure to count the number of glasses every time.
Of course, we replace any broken glasses.
We follow the owner’s policy on whether or not to charge customers for damages.
Many owners do not charge customers for small problems, so as not to ruin their guests’ fun memories.
It is also important not to leave glasses that are too expensive.
Even if you break a wine glass, if the compensation is only 500 yen, customers will be happy to pay.
In fact, if the amount is small, it may be better to pay compensation so that they can leave on a good note.
If the compensation becomes expensive, neither the owner nor the customer will be happy.
At Osojipon, we also advise owners on what equipment they should have.
