Hello ^^
Today, I’ll be talking about draining water.
The other day, it snowed in Yamanashi and it’s getting pretty cold. When the wind blows, it’s so cold that it pierces your skin.
When the temperature outside drops below freezing, there is a risk that the water pipes will freeze.
To prevent this, I think it’s fine to usually leave the taps in the kitchen and bathroom as thin as a pencil (if they’re too thin, the water will stop flowing) and fill the bathtub with water up to about 10 cm above the reheating part, but
if you’re going to be away from home for a long period of time, it’s safer to drain the water ^^
There are various ways to drain water, such as just pressing a button, but the simplest way is
- Move the handle of the drain valve outside the building in the direction of stop and drain. (Make sure you do it all the way!)
- After that, open all the faucets inside the building. Make sure that no water comes out.
This completes the draining process ^^
When you want to let water out, do the above in reverse.・Turn off all the faucets in the building (forgetting to do this will cause a lot of trouble…)
・Turn the drain handle on the outside of the building in the directions for “out” and “flow”
If water comes out of the faucet, it’s OK ^^
